“Can’t Let Go” has never been discussed by Adele, beyond a response that it always makes her emotional when asked by a fan to perform it on tour. However, lines such as “this love, it ain’t over yet” imply a connection to an active relationship. Adele has confirmed her relationship with husband Simon Konecki has experienced some bumps, especially while writing and discussing other song “Water Under the Bridge”. As a result, it’s reasonable to assume this song is also about him.
