The picture above is used as the single’s powerful image. It’s a picture of two Black men hanging from a tree in Marion, Indiana, with a mob of white people standing around smiling.

My mother had a book in our house called The Movement, and that picture was on the third page. I was always shocked when I would look through that book as a child. It’s an image that has stuck with me ever since. On the back of the single, I wrote, “This photograph is not from the South, it’s from Marion, Indiana, the same state where they hung a good friend of mine, Mike Tyson.”
