A Roadman’s Hymn

A Roadman’s Hymn

Kano

Over mellow production this track tells the tale of people living a lifestyle on the streets in London’s deprived areas. Kano talks personally about his time living in Manor Park of Newham, London and uplifts the dirty term of “Roadman” casually to one of aspirational and entrepreneurial.

“Roadman” is a plurale tantrum term coined from London referring to a young male who are on the street involved in criminal activity. It usually has negative pejoratives, often it associated with anyone who is black, wears a hood and baggy trousers.
