WHERE THE HELL ARE MY FRIENDS

LANY

“WHERE THE HELL ARE MY FRIENDS” describes the loneliness of life in a big city. The song also reflects how the band’s rise to fame involved moving to California (apart from half of their name being an acronym for Los Angeles). Frontman Paul Klein is from Oklahoma, and the band met and formed in Nashville, so L.A. is a long way from home. It’s no wonder Klein questions whether he’s starting to hate the Cali life.

About the music video, Klein said:

I wanted to try and project being around people but feeling completely isolated and disconnected; so I worked with the director on how we could make that come across. The whole time I’m trying to engage with the people around me but there’s nothing I can do about it.

The track was released as the first single off of the band’s 2016 kinda EP.
