First released on December 30, 2015 via SoundCloud, “Look At Me” quickly grew notorious before receiving a second surge in popularity in late January 2017, when Drake previewed a song eventually released as “KMT,” which had a similar sounding flow.

After hearing the preview for “KMT,” X tweeted his frustration at the similarities. Drake denied stealing the flow, though he admitted there were similarities, prompting X to respond from jail, saying he would rather a big name artist like Drake help with his legal situation, rather than steal his flow and not give any credit.

Subsequently, in May 2017, “Look At Me!” was edited for better sound quality and placed on his Revenge mixtape, giving it a wider release on streaming services.
