Love Her Madly

Love Her Madly

The Doors

Love Her Madly, released in March 1971 as the first single from the album L.A. Woman, was written by Robbie Krieger about his relationship with his wife. The song was one of the highest rating singles for The Doors, reaching number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100.

This song is about Krieger’s tumultuous relationship with his wife. There isn’t much to be said of the lyrics in depth of meaning, as Krieger’s writing style was entirely different to Morrison’s. While Morrison employed a poetic approach, Krieger tended to be more literal.
