On “30 Past 7” Mckenzie makes it known that he’s not a morning person — so much so to the point he may resort to biting someone. Mckenzie wails with vocals that are super saturated in reverb, sounding as if he’s singing into a canyon.

Despite the song’s subject of feeling grumpy in the morning, the song is very groovy sounding with lush psychedelic stylings from the band. The song features Tuvan throat singing, glitchy sounding synths, a sitar, and a wailing guitar that complements Mckenzie’s spacey vocals beautifully.
