The soothing reggae-pop record marks the first single for Marc E. Bassy’s upcoming album Groovy People. Bassy is joined by local Oakland superstar G-Eazy, with whom Bassy toured following the release of When It’s Dark Out. This is the fourth collaboration between Marc and G, following “Friend Zone,” “Some Kind of Drug,” and “Show Me.”

Marc spoke to Complex about having G-Eazy on the track, where he pointed out the importance of having a Bay Area artist on his first single, and the chemistry they developed. Even so, he told Genius that he wasn’t going to have G-Eazy on his first single originally, but felt G-Eazy was going through a very similar situation that he could speak on.
