“80’s films,” as the title suggests, takes you back in time and plants you right into the soundtrack of your favorite 80s film. The chorus especially, with its “end of the movie and the boy and girl ride off into the sunset together” feel. Or in this case, hooking up in the back seat into the sunset.

The instrumentation has that classic 80s vibe mixed with a more modern approach, with its simple chord progressions and that signature Jon Bellion sound, along with a killer guitar solo after the bridge, reminiscent of Journey.

After being leaked by iTunes 2 weeks early during the re-release of “All Time Low,” the track was officially released on May 27th.
