This marks the end in a long line of war dubs between Stormzy and Cadell. Stormzy’s sends have been so indirect and vague that they’ve gained commercial success (see: “Shut Up”, “Standard”, “Scary” — all written about Cadell).

Cadell, on the other hand, has been extremely transparent and vocal in his opposition to Stormzy’s seemingly overnight success. Beginning the beef with “Hotline 1”, he later went even more direct with “3 is the New 6” and “Hotline 3 (Stormzy Diss)”.

This time, he parodies Stormzy’s latest send, “Scary”, with his own take on the same instrumental and the aptly-named title “Scarier”. He claims that he’s badder than Stormzy — he’s now put out both his phone number and his home address in diss tracks, and is unafraid of the security implications that this brings. Stormz can come knocking on his door with a gun, but that won’t make him any better of an MC in Cadell’s eyes.

Judging by Stormzy’s tweet in response to the diss, looks like this probably won’t get a response.
