“All We Got” talks about Chance’s life at the time of the release of his third mixtape Coloring Book and serves as the intro to the tape. It features Chance’s idol and hometown hero Kanye West, as well as the Chicago Children’s Choir.
The intro to Chance’s second mixtape, Acid Rap, sampled Kanye West’s “Intro” on his Freshmen Adjustment Vol. 2 mixtape. It was only fitting that Chance brought in Kanye for the intro to his new mixtape. He uses the same “and we back” lyrics on the intro to this song, too.
Three months before this song’s release Chance appeared on “Ultralight Beam,” the intro to Kanye’s album, The Life of Pablo. Chance continues “Ultralight Beam”’s gospel sound in this song, as he raps about music, his girlfriend, and religion.
