In “BLACK,” G-Dragon reflexes on a dead love, losing his faith in love when he knows the relationship is beyond repair.

In the lyrics, he uses colors as metaphors for his feelings. For his partner, he mentions the vibrant colors gold and red, even while he says his lover is cold and a liar. Meanwhile, for himself, he describes his heart and world as black, the changes in their relationship black and white. In the end, he concludes that his colors don’t mix with his partner.

“BLACK” features a 17-year-old JENNIE from BLACKPINK during her trainee days, becoming her third feature on a labelmate’s song. This is the Korean version of the song, the English version is sung by Sky Ferreira instead.
