For the release of the “Big Pig” update for the mobile game Angry Birds Action!, Rovio (the Finnish game development studio who created Angry Birds) partnered with hip-hop group De La Soul to give players of the game something special.

The update gives players access to “Action!”, a new song by De La Soul created specifically for Angry Birds Action!, as well as the ability to participate in a week-long event that features De La Soul’s members as birds in the game.

In a press release, De La Soul stated:

We are fans of the game, so we were very happy to be involved

Additionally, Miika Tams, Rovio’s vice president of games, commented:

We are thrilled to be collaborating with all-time hip hop greats De La Soul to bring fun new content to Angry Birds Action!
