Misanthropulsar

Misanthropulsar

Dumbo Gets Mad

Misanthropulsar is a space pop ballad whose title derives its compounded origins from the words, “misanthropy” and “pulsar”. The former refers to a general dislike for human nature while the latter is a “neutron” star that emits gravitational waves only visible when facing the Earth.

In combining the two, it is suggested that the Italian duo expresses in song a story of disgust and apathy experienced by someone described as a loner longing for affirmation in a world whose society is influenced by stars that emit misanthropy.

Visualization of a pulsar

Consistent with the theme of the album, the song also attempts to further explore the concepts surrounding pulsars in space, namely, their existence as proof that gravitational waves existed based on the idea that as pulsars lost energy, they would continue to shrink and emit a form of radiation related to gravity.
