501 (Hollow & Heston)

Giggs (Ft. CASISDEAD)

Following discovering there was a “more symbolic theme, to the ting,” Giggs decided upon collaborating with CASisDEAD twice on his matured “Landlord” LP.

Characteristically synchronic; “5:01” is the length of CAS’ second feature on this album: “Lyrical Combat.”

The song itself finds Giggs advocating CAS’ presence within/beneath or above the scene in a national sense, introducing an energetic, disgusted verse from CASisDEAD; who claims to be “picking up the slack” of other UK artists whose output “was" apparently “sounding wack.”

Giggs delivers a typically ambivalent second verse; demonstrative of just how supportive he is of the nation’s artistic progression; embracing his unspoken role as The Godfather of UK rap.
