“휘파람 (Whistle)” is BLACKPINK’s the second promotional single off their debut album, SQUARE ONE. Over an upbeat, fast tempo beat, the group sings and raps about finding love, but not wanting it to slip away.

On August 6th, YG Entertainment revealed the song and the teaser image featured the group in black and white, with the Korean song title.

The song debuted at #1 on the Gaon Digital Chart. It also debuted at #2 on the Billboard World Digital Songs Chart.

“휘파람 (Whistle)” also marked BLACKPINK’s first win on a Korean music show, with their first place on SBS Inkigayo on August 14th, 2016.

The music video for the song surpassed more than 600M views (as of March 2021), and won Best Music Video of The Year at the 2016 Mnet Asian Music Awards.
