“Lucky Me” is a reflective track, surrounding the infamous “27 Club”—a group that refers to the many musicians who died at age 27. These artists include Kurt Cobain, Amy Winehouse and Jimi Hendrix, to name a few.

This is referenced throughout the song. Ruby and $crim are lucky to have passed the age of 27, which they did as of the release of this album, in 2016. They were born only 10 days apart, in 1989.
