In a press release, Avery said of the song:
“It’s a love song I wrote about when I fell in love the last time.
I recorded it with Jonathan Wilson at Five Star…It was the first time I got to work with Jonathan, being an old friend of mine and the guy who convinced me to move to L.A. and really encouraged me to make a vocally driven album. It’s also the first time I ever let anyone co-produce with me.”
