“Around The Way Girl” is a smooth jam written as “an ode to the girl next door” – the girls LL would see on a daily basis while riding around in his neighborhood.

Released as the second single from Mama Said Knock You Out, it became LL’s first top 10 hit in the US, selling 500,000 copies before the end of 1991. It also reached a respectable #41 in the UK.
