Kicking it off with an ensemble of brass instruments, “Dangerous” starts off I See You with a more livelier sound and aesthetic than Coexist and xx, while still retaining the percussion beats and backbone by Jamie Smith, otherwise known as Jamie xx. Lyrically, it is about the realization of a dangerous connection.

While the song still retains the sparse and programmed-reliant structure of the previous two albums, the song is the first xx song to feature orchestration from different instruments, a departure from xx yet an improvement on the addition of live instrumentation by Jamie on Coexist.
