An unlikely finalist, Chedda Cheese turned a lot of heads on his way to this championship match. As the winner of the West bracket, Chedda fought his way through opponent after opponent, putting on impressive back to back performances against Edwords and Fingaz. Through no fault of his own, Chedda was not able to battle his semi-finals opponent Caustic, which created some controversy when Chedda Cheese was declared the winner by default. Regardless, the Alberta emcee’s two previous Grand Prix showings prove that he is one of the competition’s elite, and more than worthy to take on the previous Grand Prix 1 vs. 1 champion Arcane. Known for his double timing and creative approaches to battles, will Chedda Cheese’s unique style and flow be enough to dethrone Arcane?
Back in a familiar position, Arcane finds himself yet again vying for the title of Grand Prix 1 vs. 1 champion. The 2010 champion, Arcane had only battled in King of the Dot twice before, and yet he tore his way through an impressive list of names including Knamelis and Loe Pesci, to earn his 2010 Grand Prix Championship. This time, the Steel City representative is back to defend his title, and his path to the top was no easier. Having disposed of Luciano Crakk, Step Easy, and tough competitor 100 Bulletz, Arcane has yet again earned his place as the East bracket champion. One of King of the Dot’s best, Arcane makes use of complex personal attacks and intricate punchlines to disassemble his opponents. In his second Grand Prix 1 vs. 1 championship match, Arcane’s performance proved to be too much for Chedda as Arcane moved on to face Dizaster at the Blackout 3 title match.
