Electric Eye

LYRIC

[Intro]
A satellite
A beam of light
A satellite watching from the sky
A beam of light, I am electric eye
A satellite
A beam of light, I am electric eye
A satellite
A beam of light, I am electric eye

[Verse 1]
Always aware
Always awake (to keep things in their place)
Eternal stare
As you resonate (with your machine of loving grace!)

[Chorus]
A satellite watching from the sky
A beam of light, I am electric eye
A satellite watching from the sky
A beam of light, I am electric eye

[Post-Chorus]
(Electric eye)
(I am electric eye)
[Verse 2]
I'll keep you safe
I'll keep you sound (when you're under my control)
From faraway
I scan the ground (as I monitor your soul!)

[Chorus]
A satellite watching from the sky
A beam of light, I am electric eye
A satellite watching from the sky
A beam of light, I am electric eye

[Outro]
(Electric eye)
(I am) A satellite watching from the sky
(Electric eye)
Electric eye
A beam of light, I am electric eye
Electric eye!
(I am electric eye)
(I am electric eye)
A satellite watching from the sky
A beam of light, I am electric eye
(Electric eye)
(Electric eye)
(Electric eye!)
(Electric eye)
(Electric eye)

About "Electric Eye"

“Electric Eye” is a non-album single by Celldweller. It is focused on a steady Drum'n'Bass rhythm and incorporates Celldweller’s signature chaotic basslines, a rhythm guitar in Thrash Metal style and simple, repetitive lyrics about an entity from space watching every move we make.

In the lyric video, this is demonstrated by literal beams of light originating from one planet and flowing back to it. Three planets (one of them having a skull pattern on it which is a reference to lyric video and single cover of his song New Elysium) are “captured” early on and the fourth near the end. This last planet is Earth.

Klayton teased production of this track several months before release on his Instagram account, then talked about it in an hour-long stream on Facebook and Ask Klayton #40 before officially announcing it 8 days before release.
