LYRIC

[Intro: Lostchild]
Aye eh-oh
Oh-aye eh-oh
Oh aye-aye
Aye eh-oh
Oh aye-aye

[Verse 1]
Fly guy skyscrapers couldn't reach him
And when he smiles there’s a twinkle in his eyes
But what's inside? Oh what's inside?
Heart full of fleshly desires
Lusts for the pretty young things
But what's wisdom?
What's wisdom?

[Bridge]
He knew better
Kingship he did aspire to be
Had all the right qualities
But what's wisdom to a fallen king?

[Chorus]
Like Solomon, like Solomon?
All the women all the women
All the women couldn't satisfy him
Yeah he kept searching
Outside 'stead of within
All the women, all the women
All the women couldn't satisfy him
Oh he kept searching, searching
[Verse 2]
He's worth a million words
But will his words become his worth?
I don't know, don't know ooh
In search of his treasures
Stuck on temporary measures
Chasing something he can feel

[Bridge]
He knew better
Kingship he did aspire to be
Had all the right qualities
Mmm mmm

He knew better
Kingship he did aspire to be
Had all the right qualities
But what's wisdom to a fallen king?

[Chorus]
Like Solomon, like Solomon
All the women, all the women
Couldn't satisfy him
Yeah he kept searching
Outside 'stead of within
All the women, all the women
All the women couldn't satisfy him
Oh he kept searching, searching
[Middle 8]
All the women wait in line
For your throne
But there can only be one king
Of your world

[Chorus]
Like Solomon, like Solomon
All the women, all the women
All the women couldn't satisfy him
Yeah he kept searching
Outside 'stead of within
All the women, all the women
All the women couldn't satisfy him
Oh he kept searching, searching

Searching, searching
Searching, searching

About "Solomon"

“Solomon” is about a promiscuous man trying to mature and better himself.

Amidst his growing pains he continues to fall short to lust and numerous female encounters. Promiscuity becomes unsatisfying to him, particularly as his circle were gradually beginning to settle down in marriage.

The concept and title is based around the life of King Solomon who had 700 wives and 300 concubines. Before becoming King he prayed for wisdom and discernment and proved himself worthy of the role. He wrote several biblical books including Proverbs. However he allowed women to lead him to his downfall.
