Justin Caruso

Talk About Me

LYRIC

[Verse 1]
Writing down every word you said
Just to watch them go to flames
Tried to break down my confidence
Well your bullets ricochet

[Refrain]
Oh, you hid behind
Oh, your mask of lies
How did I ever fall for that?
A monster dressed as a saint

[Pre-Chorus]
And you say that I'm crying for ya
I heard you whispering
No, I just feel sorry for ya
If that's what you think

[Chorus]
Then talk about me
Talk about me
Talk about me
Talk about me

[Verse 2]
Once again, went and set your trap
Oh I know I took the bait
Now you're covering up your tracks
Finding ways to curse my name
[Refrain]
Oh, you hid behind
Oh, your mask of lies
How did I ever fall for that?
A monster dressed as a saint

[Pre-Chorus]
And you say that I'm crying for ya
I heard you whispering
No, I just feel sorry for ya
If that's what you think

[Chorus]
Then talk about me
Talk about me
Talk about me
Talk about me

About "Talk About Me"

“Talk About Me” is a tropical house song about a couple’s hostile breakup and the hardships that come with it.

This song is the debut single for the Los-Angeles-based DJ Justin Caruso. Caruso described it as the start of the “next chapter in [his] career.” It’s the first time he collaborated with singer-songwriter Victoria Zaro, who is best known for her collaboration as a vocalist on The Chainsmokers' “New York City.”

On a Billboard article about the song, writer Kat Bein explained that the artists' friends pushed them to work together, and when they met at the campus of the University of Southern California, they decided to do so.

Singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor promoted the single on Twitter and Instagram.

On February 24, 2017 the song was released exclusively on SoundCloud and Spotify. A week after the release, the song was released on Apple Music.
