A bit of foreshadowing. In this part of the story the main character is on the precipice of transmitting his being into another dimension.

The main character (the homeless man) is inside the mysterious woman’s home (Enter Her Abode – Interlude). Her face’s expression is a mystery and her intentions are hard to read (Vague//Recalibrate), thus begins an inner monologue about how he should proceed.
