“Made In China” is a tongue-in-cheek play on the fact that almost everything we consume in the West is made in China – clothes, jewellery, technology, shoes, toys, the list is endless. The Higher Brothers also glorify and hype the rich, millennia spanning the cultural history of China.

Higher Brothers brag about China’s material power as a metaphor for their leap into the international hip-hop game. They see themselves as the leaders of Chinese hip-hop, about to take over in the same way that Chinese manufacturing has taken over the West.
