“For Shelley (Unheard)” recounts singer Cory Lockwood’s relationship with his mother who passed on March 19th, 2016 having never heard the song, hence “(Unheard)” being in the title.

It is the first single released from A Lot Like Birds' fourth album, DIVISI. It was accompanied by the release of a music video for the song.
