Passion Pit
Passion Pit and designer/illustrator Basak Agaoglu both posted one minute clips of the track (all instrumental) on March 26th. The videos included illustrations and a sheet of typewriter-style writing in them, that said:
“The world came to be.
Then people came to be.
And then people came to be civilizations.
Ancient civilizations, all young and bursting with a sense of wonder and purpose.
But it was two ancient civilizations that, after after birth, seemed so peculiar. Many civilizations thought they were twins. They said they must have been separated at birth. They were both beautiful, complex, and intelligent. They did not know why, but they understood each other. They called it “friendship.”
But after years of creating, years of learning, years of growing, years of teaching, their unspoken connection came to be understood as religion.
The religion was called Ayla.
