In “PLANTING THE ROOTS ONLY TO FALL OUT THE TREE” the boys reminisce on the old days in New Orleans before Hurricane Katrina devastated the city.

As the center of Hurricane Katrina passed southeast of New Orleans in mid-2005, all 50 levees, which were meant to protect the city, failed, and left the town in rubble. The boys rap about the aftermath of the hurricane, and how the residents of the city had very little money and were forced to turn to drug dealing, robbing and killing to get through in life.

The tone of this song is much more mellow and nostalgic compared to some of their other tracks, which are comparably more dark and fierce.
