A/B is a song in two clear parts, almost to the extent that it’s two separate songs placed next to each other on the same track. The first part is an upbeat, distorted romp based on Pond’s track “Elvis' Flaming Star”; the second is a slow, stripped back, intimate tune bearing very little resemblance to the first part. The two sections are separated about a third of the way into the track by a few seconds of radio samples made to sound as if someone was tuning a radio, switching from the upbeat ‘A’ channel to the more sedate ‘B’ part of the song.
