The title track from NCT 127’s third mini album “Cherry Bomb” is described to be an experimental hip-hop song that blends in with unique raps and the group’s characteristic vocal sound.

Through the lyrics of the song, the members' confidence is shown as they compare themselves to a cherry bomb, which is a spherical exploding firework. Members TAEYONG and MARK participated in the songwriting of the song.

A performance version of the song was also featured in the album and released on the same day, with the only difference being that a future bass instrumental section was added for performance purposes. Over a year later, an English version of the song was released through their collaboration with Apple Music for the Up Next Session: NCT 127 compilation album.
