The “Fire Fade” short film is the follow-up to 2016’s “Fairy Dust.” Based on Tove’s Lady Wood, “Fire Fade” tells a story intertwined with tracks from the second half of the album.

On May 14th, 2017, Tove posted a picture revealing that filming had begun. From then through the end of June, she would publish stills captioned with lyrics from the songs that will be featured. The teasers then ceased until August 1st, when she released a promotional image featuring the title, and later a minute-long preview on August 4th. The clip interestingly features vocals from “True Disaster,” which appears on the first half of the album and in the “Fairy Dust” film.

Tove finally announced the release date of August 25th through Instagram on August 10th.
