X faces charges of domestic abuse and false imprisonment but has not been convicted of any of the alleged charges. His trial was set for October 5th and then has been postponed.

The song was produced by X, LA-based songwriter and producer John Cunningham, and Canadian singer/songwriter Tobias Jesso Jr.. According to a picture posted by Cunningham on Twitter and Instagram, Tobias Jesso Jr. played the piano on this.
