On August 22, 2017, Billie Eilish premiered an original song–presumably titled “see-through"–as part of a live performance on her personal Instagram that featured one more unreleased song and three brief covers.
After months of speculation and rumors, "see-through” indeed saw an official release as track “8” on Eilish’s debut album, WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?.

This song is about an unhealthy relationship. The boy was never satisfied by the way Billie treated him, and doesn’t want to hear what she has to say, but Billie still tries to make a case for herself as she leaves.
