“Turn Down for What” is a single by DJ Snake & Lil Jon released on December 18, 2013. It was co-produced by both artists and co-written by Tchami. The song and its viral music video, featuring a guy who manages to break things and do other weird things with his crotch, popularized the use of the phrase.

This is also the 13th track on the soundtrack of Furious 7.

The original demo version contained a Redman sample saying: “It’s the countdown, bang the underground”
