‘I HUNG MYSELF FOR A PERSONA’ is track 2 on the Kill Yourself Part XX: The Infinity Saga, released in mid-2017.

The song features an ominous beat with the boys rapping in a throaty, high-pitched tone, which makes it distinctive from their other songs. The sound is heavily comparable to Koopsta Knicca’s sound of the early 2000’s, who was best known for his high pitched, sing-song rap style, which the boys adopt in this song. The boys are known to sample and reference Koopsta Knicca in the past.

Only Ruby’s verse is featured on the official music video for the song, leading some people to think that this is the only verse on the whole song, however just like all their other songs, it features both Ruby and $crim.

The title mocks people who don’t believe that the ideals of being suicidal and having depression referenced in their songs to be true, and believe it to be a persona, in other words, just to make them look cool. They parody this to show that this isn’t the case and will go as far a length to hang themselves to prove that they truly do feel this way and have the last laugh when people find out they actually did kill themselves.
