“Disco Tits” is the first single off of Tove Lo’s third studio album, Blue Lips. The song was leaked on September 1st, 2017 and later officially released on September 7th, 2017. Tove has stated that “[it’s] about losing yourself with your newfound love. Naïve, excited, no consequences. The happiness in the haze I’m feeling right now.” She also said in a Beats 1 interview that “it’s me being blunt, sexually blunt and raw like that.”

The song title references a popular Coachella trend of putting sparkles, glitter, and bling on your breasts. Tove performed at Coachella with “disco tits” in 2017, sporting a mesh top with disco-ball-like mirrors covering her breasts. As Tove told Time Magazine in an interview following the release of Blue Lips:

We were at Coachella, and I had just performed; it was one of the first festivals I went to outside of Europe and it was so different — beautiful desert, and everything is clean and dry, everyone’s walking around the palm trees with flower crowns. I was wearing this see-through top that looked like a disco ball exploded all over my boobs. I got offstage, and my boyfriend, he just turns around and goes, “Hey disco t-ts, let’s go.” And I was like, “Wow, that’s me.”
