“Dictator” is the second single released from the second studio album Dictator of Daron Malakian and Scars on Broadway.

In “Dictator,” Daron expresses that individuals who have political awareness won’t buy into a dictator’s politics. Many dictators like Hitler are known to rise to power with war campaigns. “War is coming, Soldiers marching” are common propagandas used by many politicians to achieve control and manipulation through fear. Individuals who are well aware of this situation will not get corrupted, no matter what a dictator might say.

The unidentified man in the cover picture of the song holds his arm out straightened, with the hand open and palm down. This gesture is very similar to the Nazi salute, a gesture that was used as a greeting in Nazi Germany. Nazi Germany was under the dictatorship of Adolf Hitler, one of the deadliest dictators in history.
