“Where Do Broken Hearts Go” is the fourth single from Whitney Houston’s sophomore album Whitney.

At first, Whitney didn’t want to record the song because she felt that there wasn’t a special message to convey, but Clive Davis was able to convince her that the song would become number-one if she recorded it.

And Clive was right.

The song topped the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Whitney’s seventh #1 song and Adult Contemporary chart.
