Houston’s version of the American National Anthem that she performed at the XXV Superbowl in 1991 at the Tampa Stadium is often considered one of the greatest National Anthem renditions in history. It was later released as a charity single for soldiers in the Persian Gulf Wars. It later became RIAA certified Platinum as a single.

Many critics deemed Houston’s performance as one of the greatest live performances she had ever delivered in her career.
