Everyday I Have The Blues

John Mayer Trio

“Every Day I Have the Blues” is a blues song that The John Mayer Trio recorded as a live version using a different melody and harmony for the album Where the Light Is: John Mayer Live in Los Angeles.

The song has been performed in a variety of styles, an early version of the song is attributed to Aaron “Pinetop” Sparks and his brother Milton or Marion and it was recorded in 1935.
After a reworking of the song by Memphis Slim in 1949, it became a blues standard.
