“Choppa” was released on November 10, 2017 and an accompanying music video was uploaded to ohtrapstar’s official YouTube account on December 28, 2017.

People have criticized ohtrapstar and this song for its similarity to rapper Comethazine’s song “Piped Up,” especially with some of the lyrics and some of it centred around the beat that was used.
