With a title inspired by a line from Jeezy’s 2005 track “Trap or Die,” “Last Time That I Checc’d” finds L.A.’s Nipsey Hussle collaborating with Compton’s YG for a West Coast banger where they talk about their ascension in life. The music video was released almost a month before Victory Lap and it features classic scenery from the streets of Los Angeles, as well as blue and red color palettes representing Nipsey’s affiliation with the Rollin' 60s Crips and YG’s affiliation with the Tree Top Pirus, respectively.

The song was played in honor of Nipsey Hussle during a Los Angeles Clippers game at Staples Center a few hours after he passed away on March 31, 2019.
