“All My Stars Aligned” is the sixth track off Marry Me (2007), the debut solo album of St. Vincent, the artistic moniker of American singer and guitarist Annie Clark.

Ever the ironic contrarian, St. Vincent uses superstition and creed as metaphors for blind faith in the restoration of a failed relationship. In the end, Clark ends up stressing the importance of belief as a support system to any relationship – that is, a system based not on irrationality or misconceived notions of reality, but one which stresses the relevance of our very human capacity to use love as a guidepost to everything we do.
