“BiPolar” is the third track on Gucci Mane’s thirteenth studio album, Evil Genius. The song was released as the second promotional single for the album on November 30th, 2018, and features fellow Atlanta rapper Quavo.

In the song, Gucci and Quavo rap about their usual cash, jewels, and drugs; however, the track has a much more serious undertone centering around bipolar disorder, a condition that causes dramatic changes in behavior.

Gucci was actually diagnosed with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia in 2011, both of which were discovered after he threw a woman from a moving vehicle, a move that briefly landed him in a mental institution.

Despite his diagnosis, a psychiatrist testified in court that she was unsure if his condition was “based more on the primary psychiatric issue or on the substance-abuse issue.” Nonetheless, Gucci Mane has been sober since his 2016 release from prison and seems to have put his crazy antics behind him.
