40 Ounces and a Fool

40 Ounces and a Fool

Paris (Rap)

The track’s title is based on the reparations terminology “40 acres and a mule,” and is written from the perspective of a gangsta rapper (or a satirical version of one) who is more concerned with how he can make money regardless of the consequences. He pushes ignorant stereotypical images of Blacks including pushing/being a spokesman for a malt liquor company.

Samples Ice Cube’s diss track “No Vaseline”. Quite a conscious irony on Paris' part since Ice Cube during this time was endorsing St. Ides malt liquor.
