A cover of Soft Cell’s 1981 hit single (which was a cover itself!!), “Tainted Love” was released as a single as part of the Not Another Teen Movie Soundtrack in 2001. It was also added to The Golden Age of Grotesque as a bonus track.

It was one of Marilyn Manson’s most successful singles, critically and commercially, winning Kerrang! “Single of the Year” as well as reaching the top-5 of multiple European singles' charts.

The music video featured rock stars such as Joey Jordison (then of Slipknot), Tim Skold (previously of KMFDM, who subsequently joined Marilyn Manson)), porn stars (in a jacuzzi scene) and some actors from the film “Not Another Teen Movie:
