“I Kill People” is Trippie Redd’s second single of 2018, following “UKA UKA.” The song appears to be a ‘diss’ aimed at fellow rapper and rival 6ix9ine.

A snippet first appeared on Trippie Redd’s Instagram page on 8 May, 2018. A few days prior to this, fellow rapper and GloGang/GBE member Tadoe appeared in a video on 6ix9ine’s Instagram bragging about “killing people” because of 6ix9ine’s involvement with Tadoe’s ex-girlfriend, Cuban Doll.

Each artist on this track, at the time of its release, had issues with 6ix9ine. Trippie Redd and 6ix9ine have had ongoing issues since 6ix9ine’s legal issues came to light in 2017. In May of 2018, 6ix9ine started beef with Chief Keef with a disrespectful instagram video.
