Worst of You

Worst of You

Maisie Peters

Despite all of his wrongdoings, Maisie sarcastically describes a one-sided relationship, full of toxicity and tragedy, where she keeps allowing him back. She doesn’t necessarily attack or express hatred towards herself nor her partner, but rather emphasizes her willingness to overlook his infidelity and carelessness in order to keep him by her side at all costs.

Maisie proposes an innovative take on toxic relationships. Her listing of the ridiculous sacrifices she’s making serves as a wake-up call to people tangled up in such relationships. There’s no reason to be entangled in such circumstances, no matter how much love they have.

Maisie released this song following a six month hiatus, due to her being busy with school and exams:

I know I’ve been away a while (final year of A levels + writing looooooots of sick new songs called for me) but I have PLANS I tell u PLANS for the next few months which I hope you will loooove.

“Worst of you” is the first song Maisie released under the record label “Atlantic Records UK”. She released her previous two tracks “Places we were made” and “Birthday” independently in 2017.
