It’s unknown when the song was created; the lyrical content of the song suggests that it could’ve been created during sessions for his collaborative project with Metro Boomin, Perfect Timing, or its sequel; however, it could be a solo song based on the line, “Write my shit and make my beats”.

A snippet of the song was put up for sale by Music Mafia in early June, 2018, and was leaked shortly after. The full song was later purchased and leaked online on August 7.
